"What is this thing called love? This crazy thing called love?" Songwriters, playwrights, authors, teachers, therapists, women and men all have their own ideason what love means to them. It's interesting to hear some of the definitions of love. The dictionary version on romatic love: To be fond of, desire. A deep and tender feeling of affection for or attachment or devotion to a person or persons. An expression of one's love or affection. A strong, usually passionate, affection of one person for another, based in part on sexual attraction.
The Bible's interpretation of love is found in Corinthians, chapter 13, verses 4-7; Love is patient and kind, it is not jealous or conceited or proud; love is not ill-mannered or selfish or irritable; love does not keep a record of wrongs; love is not happy with evil, but is happy with the truth, love never gives up and its faith, hop and patience never fail.
An expression of love is the most basic of human assurances, when it is given freely and without condition, it can only strengthen and give greater purpose to a relationship.
Most books and workshops on love focus or concentrate on the exterior aspects of the love search. Such as: Where to find an eligible partner, how to write an effective personal ad, which supermarket to shop in to meet a lover, how to trap a man or woman, etc. What's more important in these external meansof finding love again, is the internal elements. What's going on inside you. It is the mental focus, the emotional energy you carry inside you and the way you work with this energy, that magnetizes and attracts your ideal life mate to you.
When you learn to heal and release any past relationships, and how to become the most fully complete and loving fulfilling partnership, your ideal life mate! Learning to love again is very important to one's happiness. As homosapiens, were made to have a mate, andnot be without love and companionship. The greatest expression and feeling on earth is love. With love, like a wind on a sail boat we can sail thru life, through stormy or calm waters making our life's journey much more complete and enjoyable.
"When the student is ready, the master will appear", is a well-known phrase. Let's paraphrase the sam concept, "When the lover is whole and complete, the ideal life mate will appear." It's never too late to find love in your life.
In learning to love again, we must start with ourselves. As we get a closer look at ourselves, we can first realize what we want to improve in our next relationships. What we are willing to bring to that relationship, and ways in which to attract that special person.
Since we are reflections of each other, we must first see ourselves. What are we projecting, what messages are we sending out about ourselves? What messages do you want the other person to know about you? And remember, if you keep doing things the way you have been doing them, you will continue to get the same results. Now is a good time to get to know yourself, love yourself in a greater way than ever before. As you grow and develop into a more loving version of you, you'll be attracting more loving people.
One of the preconditions of finding and loving again, is to start with loving yourself and understanding yourself in a deeper way. I guess you're wondering if all this work is worth it? The good news: "The beauty, love, romance and joy of a happy partnership are enormous rewards waiting for you at the end of the tunnel." It is definitely worth the effort.
And as you take responsibility for creating your lifefor changing the things that are not working and for improving your confidence and self-esteem to print that you know you deserve the best, you get the best!!!
With courage you sail ahead into the sea of life. You raise the sail, catch the wind and sail on to reach your island of happiness. Now you have the opportunity to find a new mate who will love and accept you just the way you are. Imagine yourself and your mate sailing off into the sunset, sharing and caring and happy together.
